Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the fourth portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicting the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs above and AUSTRALIA below along the upper rim, with the denomination 100 DOLLARS inscribed at the base of the coin. The initials IRB appear below the truncation of the portrait. A beaded inner border encircles the design, set within a polished field.

The year of issue 2002 appears in the lower field flanked by raised dots. A beaded inner border frames the entire composition.
