| Obverse description | The upper portion of the obverse features a right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, set within a raised circular frame. Below the portrait, the denomination '100 DOLLARS' is inscribed in the central field, flanked on either side by a highly detailed rendering of a Gothic architectural crown or canopy with pinnacles and ornamental tracery. The date '2014' appears in the lower portion of the field below the architectural motif, with the Czech Mint privy mark visible at the very base. The legend 'ELIZABETH II.' arcs along the left rim and 'NIUE ISLAND' along the right rim in raised Latin lettering. |
