100 Dollars - Elizabeth II

New Zealand's decimal conversion in 1967 replaced the pound series at a two-to-one rate, and the $100 face value placed this note at the top of the new denomination ladder — equivalent to £50 under the old system. De La Rue printed the entire inaugural decimal range, continuing a relationship with the Reserve Bank that stretched back decades.

Two governors signed across this series: Fleming, who oversaw the decimal transition itself, and Knight, whose tenure extended into the mid-1970s inflationary period when a $100 note began to feel considerably less exceptional than it had at issue.
