Obverse description Within a central circle, the national emblem of Eritrea depicts a dromedary camel, a coastal dhow under sail on the sea, and a palm tree. A tripartite legend encircles the design along the toothed rim, inscribed in Tigrinya (Ge'ez script), English, and Arabic, each segment separated by star ornaments. The mint mark 'PM' for Pobjoy Mint and the year of issue '1994' appear within the legend.

Reverse description A mature cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) is depicted in right profile, accompanied by four cubs gathered at its side, rendered in naturalistic detail against a plain field. The inscription 'PRESERVE PLANET EARTH' arcs across the upper field as the principal legend, while the denomination '$ 100' appears in the lower field beneath the central device. The composition reflects the 'Preserve Planet Earth' commemorative wildlife series issued by Pobjoy Mint for Eritrea.
