Obverse description Right-facing effigy of King Charles III occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with fine portrait detail including the collar and jacket. The surrounding field is decorated with an intricate geometric latticework pattern inspired by traditional Tokelauan woven mat (kie) motifs. The legend CHARLES III arcs along the left periphery and TOKELAU 2024 along the upper right. Below the portrait, the inscriptions 1 OZ .9999 FINE GOLD and 100 DOLLARS appear in two lines. At the base of the design, a depiction of a traditional Tokelauan vessel is shown beneath a scroll bearing the motto TOKELAU MO TE ATUA.

Reverse description A highly detailed depiction of the Longfin Bannerfish (Heniochus acuminatus) is shown in right-facing profile at the centre of the field, rendered with fine engraving capturing its characteristic elongated dorsal fin filament and distinctive body markings. The background features a stylised pattern of overlapping concentric arcs evoking ocean waves or coral forms. The Tokelauan name LAULAUFAU arcs along the left periphery, while BANNERFISH follows the right rim; LONGFIN appears along the lower arc, together completing the bilingual species identification. The overall composition integrates the naturalistic fish motif harmoniously with the decorative field pattern.
