| 正面描述 | Uncrowned effigy of King Charles III facing left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and collar, after the portrait by Dominic Fricke. The legend CHARLES III curves along the upper left periphery and AUSTRALIA along the upper right, with the denomination 100 DOLLARS inscribed along the lower arc, all separated by small raised dots. The engraver's initials DF appear discreetly below the truncation in the field. |

The Perth Mint was established in 1899 as a branch of Britain's Royal Mint — the last such branch ever opened — originally to process gold from the Western Australian goldfields rather than ship raw metal to Sydney or Melbourne. It has outlasted every other Royal Mint branch worldwide and was transferred to the Western Australian state government in 1970, making it the only government mint in Australia not operated federally.
This issue marks 125 years of continuous operation. The .9995 platinum specification places it among the finest-purity platinum bullion coins produced anywhere.
