Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Charles III, modelled in high relief after the first official Australian portrait by Darryl Bellotti, showing the King in a suit with open collar. The legend CHARLES III curves along the upper left field and AUSTRALIA along the upper right, separated by a raised dot border element at each terminus. The denomination 100 DOLLARS arcs along the lower field, with the engraver's initials DT incuse below the portrait truncation. The coin field is mirror-polished in the proof manner against the finely frosted effigy.
