附加信息

The Kookaburra series launched in silver in 1990, but the gold iterations — introduced later and struck far less frequently — have never followed a consistent annual schedule, making each release a discrete production decision rather than a guaranteed series entry. High-relief gold strikes of this size require multiple die strikes at reduced throughput, which the Perth Mint has historically managed through strictly limited mintages with no post-release expansions.

Charles III's first portrait on Australian coinage, by Dominic Mannion, was approved following the standard effigy selection process coordinated between the Royal Mint and Commonwealth issuing authorities after Elizabeth II's death in September 2022.
