Opmerkingen

Pitcairn has no banking system and no domestic currency in circulation — the island's roughly fifty residents use the New Zealand dollar for any actual transactions. These 100 Dollar notes were produced as a numismatic souvenir issue, never intended to function as a medium of exchange. Gabris, a Slovak engraver whose work appears on collector issues for numerous small territories, produced the intaglio-style artwork.

The watermark security feature is notably incongruous on a note that was never at risk of counterfeiting.
