Opmerkingen

The 2019–2020 issue was the last denomination updated in Australia's second-generation polymer upgrade cycle, which began with the $5 in 2016. The new series introduced a transparent top-to-bottom window strip — a significant engineering step beyond the earlier small window patch — and embedded a rolling colour effect through the optically variable element that had not appeared in previous Australian notes. Note Printing Australia, which has manufactured polymer currency for export to dozens of other countries, developed much of the substrate technology in partnership with the Reserve Bank's own research division.

The Pick 66 designation places this squarely in the modern catalogue, but the microprinting on the window — readable only under magnification — includes the denomination spelled out in full, a detail frequently missed in casual inspection.
