Opmerkingen

The 1935 Bank of Canada series was the first issued under the newly created central bank, which had opened for business just that February. Two parallel sets were printed simultaneously — one in English, one in French — making this among the few Canadian series where bilingual parity was achieved through duplication rather than a single bilingual face. The $100 English version carries Osborne's signature as Deputy Governor alongside Towers, who at 37 had just become the bank's founding Governor.

High-denomination notes from this series were recalled and destroyed in disproportionate numbers during the 1937 reissue cycle. Survivors at any grade are genuinely uncommon.
