| Obverse description | Central effigy of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, depicted in three-quarter bust facing slightly left, wearing traditional Gulf Arab headdress (keffiyeh and agal), rendered in fine engraved line work against a smooth field. A horizontal band separates the portrait from the lower legend area. The upper field carries a curved Arabic legend identifying the subject, while the lower field bears the denomination in Arabic numerals and script alongside the epithet identifying him as founder of Dubai. |
