Opmerkingen

P#59 spans fifteen years and four signature combinations, making it one of the longer-running Moroccan note types of the postwar period. Thomas De La Rue held the contract throughout, a relationship between Morocco and the London printer that predated independence and continued well into the 1980s. The two known signature pairings reflect successive appointments at the Banque du Maroc — El Mdaghri served as governor during the early issues, later replaced by Lukash and then Ben Nani across the series run.

The single watermark security feature was considered adequate at the time of first issue but increasingly dated by the mid-1980s, which likely contributed to the series' retirement.
