Reverse description The central vignette presents an interior panoramic view of the Moulay Abdallah Stadium in Rabat, framed by stylized silhouettes of footballers in dynamic action poses. A football rendered with an inlaid cartographic motif of Africa occupies the lower design field, surrounded by radiating stars evoking celebration, the whole composition integrated within interlacing Moroccan arabesque and Pan-African decorative elements.

Morocco hosted the Africa Cup of Nations in January–February 2025, the country's first time staging the tournament since 1988 — a gap partly explained by Morocco's suspension from the Confederation of African Football between 1964 and 1980, and more recently by repeated failed bids. Bank Al-Maghrib commissioned this commemorative through Dar As-Sikkah, the state security printer it has used since 1987, keeping production entirely domestic.

Commemorative dirhams in polymer or special cotton issues are still relatively uncommon from this issuer, making P#83 a minor policy departure worth noting for type collectors.
