| Reversbeschreibung | A highly detailed bas-relief depiction of the Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi) in Rome, rendered across the full rectangular field of the coin. The composition faithfully reproduces the monumental Baroque facade designed by Nicola Salvi, featuring the central triumphal arch framing the niche of Oceanus, flanked by allegorical statues of Abundance and Salubrity, with winged angelic figures at the upper corners. The lower portion of the design depicts the rocky basin with seahorses and Tritons attendant upon the central figure of Oceanus. Latin dedicatory inscriptions are visible on the entablature of the fountain's facade, consistent with those on the original monument. |
