| Reverse description | The rectangular reverse presents a highly detailed, finely engraved depiction of the Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi) in Rome, rendered in an ornate baroque architectural style with exceptional sculptural relief. The central figure of Oceanus dominates the composition, flanked by tritons guiding seahorses across a rocky seabed, all set within a grand triumphal arch facade richly ornamented with allegorical statues and pilasters. Latin dedicatory inscriptions are engraved across the entablature of the fountain's facade. Winged allegorical figures appear at the upper corners of the rectangular field. The inscriptions 100 D., TREVI FOUNTAIN, and ROMA appear on the coin. |
