| Obverse description | Central to the obverse is the denomination '١٠ دينار' (10 Dinar) displayed within a circular cartouche at the centre of the field. The Hijri date ١٤٠٠هـ and the Gregorian date ١٩٨٠م flank the cartouche to the left and right respectively. The legend 'الجمهورية العراقية' (Republic of Iraq) curves along the upper periphery in Arabic script. A commemorative inscription occupying the lower portion of the field reads 'لمناسبة مرور عام على تولي السيد الرئيس قيادة الحزب والثورة' (On the occasion of the first anniversary of the assumption by the President of the leadership of the Party and the Revolution), arranged in two curved lines following the inner border. |
