| Beschrijving voorzijde | Left-facing bust of Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Emir of Bahrain, depicted wearing traditional Arab dress including a keffiyeh secured by an agal, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The portrait, engraved by Michael Rizzello, conveys a refined sculptural quality with detailed rendering of the embroidered robe collar and the layered cords of the agal. No legends or inscriptions appear on the obverse, the design relying entirely on the portrait's artistic presence to fill the broad flan. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The Bahrain state coat of arms — a heraldic shield bearing the traditional serrated white band on red, supported by ornate foliate mantling — occupies the central field. Dual date inscriptions appear both above the shield in Arabic-Indic numerals (١٣٩٨ - ١٩٧٨) and below in Western Arabic numerals (1398 - 1978), recording the Hijri and Gregorian years simultaneously. The outer border legend, separated from the inner device by a raised ring, reads in Arabic script along the upper arc (البحرين ١٠٠ دينار) and in Latin capitals along the lower arc (· DINARS 100 BAHRAIN ·), with bullet separators flanking the Latin text. |
