100 Dinars

Iraq's first post-Saddam coinage program launched in 2004 under the Coalition Provisional Authority's monetary reforms, which had already replaced the old Swiss dinar and Saddam-era dinar with a new unified currency in 2003. The 100 dinar denomination in stainless steel was part of that reissue — the country's first circulating coinage in over a decade, since sanctions and economic collapse had effectively pushed metal coins out of daily use long before the invasion.
