Beschrijving keerzijde The central device features a stylized Khamsa (Hand of Fatima) incorporating the Tunisian crescent and star motif within its palm, overlaid with the United Nations emblem, symbolizing the World Solidarity Fund. Five decorative columns or minaret-like elements rise above the hand motif. The date 2003 appears to the left and the Hijri year 1424 to the right below the central device. The commemorative legend 16ème ANNIVERSAIRE DU 7 NOVEMBRE curves along the upper periphery, while FONDS MONDIAL DE SOLIDARITÉ inscribes the lower border, both separated by star ornaments.

Aanvullende informatie

Tunisia's November 7, 1987 coup removed Habib Bourguiba — founder of the modern republic and president since independence — through a declared medical incapacity orchestrated by Prime Minister Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. No shot was fired. Ben Ali's government subsequently commemorated the date annually, and by 2003 these gold issues had become a reliable fixture of official self-promotion. The French-legend variant exists alongside an Arabic-legend counterpart, both produced for the same issue year, reflecting Tunisia's persistent bilingual administrative tradition.
