| Opmerkingen |
This note was issued by the student center of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek during one of the more turbulent years in Yugoslav monetary history — 1990 saw hyperinflationary pressure on the dinar so severe that the National Bank of Yugoslavia was redenominating notes faster than they could be printed. University student centers across Yugoslavia operated semi-autonomous catering and accommodation economies, and locally issued scrip of this kind served internal canteen and dormitory transactions rather than open circulation.
Osijek's timing is notable: within a year, the city would be under artillery siege.
