100 Dinara Služba za zajedničke poslove republičkih organa, Sarajevo

This is one of the stranger administrative artifacts to emerge from Yugoslavia's dissolution. "Služba za zajedničke poslove republičkih organa" translates roughly as the Service for Common Affairs of Republican Bodies — a Bosnian government administrative office, not a central bank. That an internal government services bureau issued what amounts to emergency currency speaks directly to how completely the normal financial infrastructure had collapsed in Sarajevo during the siege.

Printed locally under wartime conditions, these notes circulated as functional substitutes when Yugoslav dinar supplies from Belgrade were cut off and the new Bosnian dinar had not yet stabilized.
