Aanvullende informatie

Serbia has issued Tesla-themed commemoratives with some regularity, but this piece targets a specific chapter of his career: the development of high-frequency electrical apparatus, including the ozone-generating devices he demonstrated in the 1890s and briefly attempted to commercialize for medical and industrial use. Tesla held patents related to ozone production as early as 1896, believing the gas had genuine therapeutic applications — a conviction that placed him, characteristically, somewhere between visionary and eccentric in the eyes of contemporary engineers.

Struck to .999 fineness in a one-troy-ounce format by the National Bank of Serbia, this sits within a longer commemorative program rather than as a standalone issue. KM#68 assigns it a catalog anchor, though mintage figures for the series tend to be modest.
