备注

The 1955 Yugoslav 100 Dinara series was issued as the country consolidated its post-Tito break with the Soviet bloc and sought to project a distinctly Yugoslav socialist identity — neither Stalinist nor Western. ZIN had been producing Yugoslav currency since the interwar Kingdom period, and by the mid-1950s the engraving standards coming out of Belgrade were genuinely competitive with Western European state printers. Krnjajić and Kocmut were among the more technically accomplished engravers working at ZIN during this period, and the division of labor between obverse and reverse engravers was typical of how the workshop allocated specializations.

This note preceded the 1965 redenomination, when Yugoslavia replaced 100 old dinara with 1 new dinar — rendering the entire pre-reform series obsolete at a stroke.
