Banknotedesigns was not a central bank or monetary authority of any kind — it was a private Swiss firm producing fantasy or specimen-style notes intended for collectors and promotional use, not legal tender. This particular piece was printed by Gammaprint in Luzern, a commercial press with no connection to the Bundesdruckerei or any official Deutsche Mark production chain.
The Deutsche Mark denomination is entirely nominal. No issuing authority, no legal standing, no redemption obligation.
