| Reverse description | A facing bust portrait of Gorče Petrov (1865–1921), the Macedonian revolutionary leader, occupies the central raised medallion, depicted with a full beard and period attire in a realistic, modeled style. The name 'ГОРЧЕ ПЕТРОВ' is inscribed in Cyrillic in the upper arc of the outer border. The dates '1865–1921' appear in the lower portion of the border, denoting his birth and death years. |

| Additional information |
Djorče Petrov was a leading figure in the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization and a principal architect of the Ilinden Uprising of August 1903 — the rebellion against Ottoman rule that the 2003 issue was struck to commemorate on its centennial. He was assassinated in Sofia in 1907, almost certainly on orders from rival factions within the IMRO itself. The pattern designation confirms this piece never advanced to circulation, likely one of several competing designs evaluated by the National Bank before the final commemorative programme was approved.
