| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a detailed reproduction of the star atlas Firmamentum Sobiescianum, the celebrated celestial chart created in the late seventeenth century by the astronomer Johannes Hevelius. A cobalt glass insert is inlaid at the centre, bearing a colorful depiction of the Aries constellation. The zodiac symbol for Aries is engraved at the top of the square planchet. The inscriptions ARIES and the fineness mark Ag 925 appear in the field in Latin script. |
