| Obverse description | Printed in blue on a polychrome underprint using intaglio and offset techniques, the obverse is centred on a formal portrait vignette of Dom Pedro II (Pedro de Alcântara de Bragança e Bourbon) set within an ornate decorated frame. The numeral 100 appears in large format on each flank of the central vignette. Inscriptions identify the issuing authority and denomination, with the imprint of the American Bank Note Company at the base. |
