正面描述	Printed in shades of red-brown on a light underprint, the obverse bears a central circular vignette with a portrait of Marechal Floriano Peixoto in military uniform at right, set within a fine guilloche border. The issuer's name BANCO CENTRAL DO BRASIL runs along the top, with the denomination CEM CRUZEIROS to the left of the portrait and the numeral 100 in the upper-right corner. Two facsimile signatures of bank officials appear at the lower centre, with the serial number printed twice in the left margin area.

The issuer's name BANCO CENTRAL DO BRASIL is printed across the top, the denomination CEM CRUZEIROS along the lower margin, and the numeral 100 appears in both upper-left and lower-right corners; a guilloche rosette panel occupies the right portion of the note.
