| 背面描述 | Three-quarter-facing portrait bust of Admiral of the Fleet Lord Mountbatten turned slightly to the right, rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored field. The birth year '1900' appears to the left of the effigy and the death year '1979' to the right, commemorating his assassination. The surname 'MOUNTBATTEN' is inscribed as an arc along the upper periphery, while the denomination '100 CROWNS' appears in the lower field, flanked on either side by small anchor devices. |

Issued to mark the first anniversary of Mountbatten's assassination in August 1979, when an IRA bomb destroyed his fishing boat off the coast of Mullaghmore, County Sligo. He was 79. The attack killed three others aboard, including his fourteen-year-old grandson. The Turks and Caicos Islands had become a reliable vehicle for commemorative crown issues by this point — the 1970s saw the territory mint dozens of such pieces targeting collector markets rather than circulation.
