| Obverse description | The central field bears the Nicaraguan national arms: an equilateral triangle enclosing five volcanoes rising from the sea beneath a radiant sun, all within a beaded inner border. The country name REPÚBLICA DE NICARAGUA arcs along the upper periphery, while the inscription AMÉRICA CENTRAL appears along the lower periphery, separated by dashes at each side. The date 2018 is positioned in the exergue below the arms. The overall design is executed in a clean, bas-relief style with a plain field. |
