Obverse description Olive-green and red on multicolor underprint. Central vignette presents an allegorical female figure representing Agriculture, reclining beside a bunch of bananas while holding a coffee branch, with a fruit tree, a basket of pineapples, and a pumpkin arranged in the composition. Guilloche borders frame the design with intaglio printed text and denomination numerals at the margins.

Reverse description Printed in olive monochrome, the reverse centres on an intaglio portrait vignette of Christopher Columbus in profile within a circular guilloche frame, flanked by elaborate lathe-work panels and large numeral denominators "100" at each corner. The issuer's title runs along the top border, with the imprint of the American Bank Note Company at the lower margin and a date line reading "San Salvador" at lower right.
