The denomination numeral '100' appears in a large guilloche medallion at centre, flanked by the bank title 'BANCO INTERNACIONAL DE COSTA RICA' at the top and the legend 'PAGARÁ AL PORTADOR LA CANTIDAD DE CIEN COLONES' below. Issue particulars including 'San José', 'Serie D', 'Acuerdo No. 317', and a hand-written date of 31 de Julio de 1933 appear within the body of the note, with two manuscript signatures at the lower margin.
