Obverse description	The coat of arms of Suriname occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield supported by two indigenous Amerindian figures standing at either side. The shield quarters display a sailing ship on the left and a palm tree on the right, with a five-pointed star at the center base and wavy lines in the lower portion representing water. The motto scroll beneath the shield bears the legend JUSTITIA PIETAS FIDES. The entire composition is encircled by an ornamental laurel wreath, with the country name SURINAME inscribed along the lower arc within the wreath.
