Reverse description Central field bears two large Chinese characters 百文 (100 Cash) in bold, archaic-style script, occupying the majority of the inner field. The characters are framed by a wreath of grain stalks — wheat or millet — tied at the base with a ribbon bow, with the branches extending upward on either side in symmetrical arrangement. A single five-pointed star is positioned at the top of the wreath, above the characters. The entire design is enclosed within a reeded border.
