Opmerkingen

The Banco de la Nación Boliviana was established by law in 1911 as a state institution intended to absorb and replace the private commercial banks that had dominated Bolivian note issue since the 1870s — a consolidation driven partly by the fiscal chaos following the War of the Pacific. This 100 Bolivianos note belongs to the bank's founding emission, printed by ABNC under what would become a long-running relationship between that firm and Bolivian monetary authorities.

Four distinct signature combinations are recorded for P#111, reflecting the note's circulation across multiple administrations — unusual turnover for a single pick number within a relatively short emission window.
