| Obverse description | Brown intaglio print on a lightly tinted ground, enclosed within an ornate frame-like guilloche border. A central oval vignette carries a portrait of Simón Bolívar, flanked on each side by the numeral 100. The upper legend reads BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA, while the lower margin bears the denomination in words CIEN BOLÍVARES followed by the payment clause PAGADEROS AL PORTADOR EN LAS OFICINAS DEL BANCO; corner numerals 100 appear at each angle of the note. |
