| 背面描述 | The reverse carries a large intaglio vignette of the interior of Sof Omar Cave in the Bale Mountains, rendered in warm ochre and brown tones with dramatic rock formations and vaulted archways as the central motif. An outline map of Ethiopia fills the background field in teal, with a secondary vignette of Fasilides' castle positioned at lower right. Denomination numerals and Amharic legends appear in the upper and lower registers, framed by fine guilloche borders. |

| 备注 |
Ethiopia redenominated and rebranded its currency in 2020, issuing an entirely new series as part of a broader economic reform push under Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed — the first major redesign of Ethiopian banknotes in over a decade. The shift was also partly motivated by concerns over large hoards of undeclared cash, a perennial problem in cash-heavy economies where significant economic activity runs outside the banking system. Holders were given a limited window to exchange old notes.
De La Rue's involvement continues a relationship with Ethiopian note production stretching back several decades.
