Series 15 marked a significant shift in Thai banknote production — by the early 2000s, the Bank of Thailand Note Printing Works had taken on full responsibility for the higher denominations, a point of genuine national pride for an institution that had spent its earlier decades printing only lower values while relying on foreign contractors like Thomas De La Rue for the more complex work.
