Opmerkingen

Pick 126 was issued to commemorate Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn — the man who would not formally ascend the throne until October 2016, following the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej after a 70-year reign. Commemorative 100 Baht notes of this type were not intended for general circulation, though many inevitably entered it; the Bank of Thailand Note Printing Works has produced the bulk of Thai currency domestically since 1969, and this issue is entirely in-house from plate to print.

The security specification is notably minimal for a 2012 issue — watermark only, without the thread or color-shifting ink found on contemporary Thai circulars.
