| 裏面の説明 | The reverse presents a dramatic commemorative composition honouring Abkhazian participants in the Great War of 1914–1918. At centre, a mounted Abkhazian warrior in traditional Caucasian dress — papakha fur hat, chokha with gazyr cartridge belt, and flowing burka cloak — charges forward on a rearing white horse, sabre raised aloft. Behind the horseman, a silhouetted cavalry charge extends across the middle ground in engraved relief. Diagonal bands of the St. George ribbon in black and orange, rendered in selective coloring, sweep across the lower field. In the upper field, a large stylised eagle silhouette looms against the dark background. The circular legend along the lower rim reads 'АИБАШЬРА ДУ АҦСУА ФЫРХАЦӘА ЗЛАХӘЫЗ 100 ш. АХЫЦРА' in Cyrillic, with the dates '1914–1918' prominently inscribed to the left. |

The apsar is Abkhazia's commemorative currency, issued by a central bank of a state recognized by only a handful of UN members — Russia chief among them — following the 2008 South Ossetia war. These pieces are not legal tender in any practical sense and circulate exclusively among collectors; Georgian law still considers their issuance illegal within territory it regards as occupied.
At 168 grams of sterling, this is a substantial bullion-adjacent piece, though it trades on political novelty more than silver content.
