| Opmerkingen |
The "Union of North America" and its "Amero" currency exist only in conspiracy theory literature and novelty merchandise — no such political union has ever been formed, and no Amero has ever been issued as legal tender by any government. This is a fantasy or novelty note, almost certainly produced as a conversation piece or deliberate hoax item, trading on early-2000s anxieties about supposed secret plans to merge the United States, Canada, and Mexico into a single bloc modeled on the European Union.
It has no monetary or numismatic value beyond what a collector of ephemera might assign it.
