| Additional information |
Rwanda has issued collector gold since the mid-2000s, positioning the National Bank as an aggressive participant in the themed bullion market alongside better-known programs from Perth and the Royal Mint. The lunar series it produces targets Asian secondary markets almost exclusively, which explains the denomination in francs on a coin almost never intended to circulate in Kigali.
The 31.107g weight is one troy ounce precisely — the denomination is cosmetic.
