The circular legend BANKI NKURU Y'U RWANDA arcs across the upper field, while the denomination 100 appears prominently at the bottom center, flanked by AMAFARANGA to the left and IJANA to the right. The motto UBUMWE - UMURIMO - GUKUNDA IGIHUGU is inscribed within the arms device. The inscription REPUBLIKA Y'U RWANDA appears on a banner within the coat of arms. The design is struck in high relief with a polished field. |

The Sedov is a four-masted barque built in 1921 in Kiel for a German fishing company, seized by the Soviet Union after World War II as war reparations, and now operated by Russia's Murmansk State Technical University as a sail training vessel. She holds the record as the largest traditionally rigged sailing ship still in active service. Rwanda's issuance is purely a bullion collectible program — the country has no maritime history to speak of, and the Sedov connection is entirely commercial.
