| Descripción del anverso | The Polish state eagle with spread wings, crowned and facing forward, occupies the central field. The circular legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA runs along the upper periphery, interrupted by the mint mark MW. The date 19 90 is divided on either side of the eagle's body at mid-field. The denomination 100000 ZŁ is boldly rendered in large numerals along the lower portion of the field. The design is executed in high relief against a polished, mirror-like field consistent with a proof-style trial strike. |

| Descripción del reverso | The reverse features the iconic Gdańsk Shipyard Monument — three tall crosses surmounted by anchors — rising prominently in the center of the field against a backdrop evoking the cityscape of Gdańsk, including church towers and architectural silhouettes. Across the lower portion of the field, the word SOLIDARNOŚĆ is rendered in the distinctive logotype of the trade union movement, with stylized interlocking lettering. The years 1980 and 1990, marking the founding and the tenth anniversary of Solidarity, appear flanking the legend at the base. The word PRÓBA (trial) is inscribed to the right in the upper field, identifying the piece as a pattern strike. |

The Solidarność commemorative series emerged directly from the political upheaval of 1989–1990, as Poland's first post-communist government sought coinage that reflected the trade union movement that had fractured the Eastern Bloc. Trial strikes of this denomination were produced in nickel as die and alloy tests before the gold and silver presentation issues were confirmed for production. The 100,000 złoty face value itself signals the period — hyperinflation had so eroded the złoty that six-figure denominations on circulating-weight coins were briefly a practical necessity.
Fewer trial pieces entered collector hands than the issued versions, most remaining in Mennica Polska's own archives or distributed through official channels to government offices.
