Surrounding text specifies validity within the district of the Stadt und Amtshauptmannschaft Zwickau until 15 August 1923, redeemable through the Zwickauer Stadtbank Aktiengesellschaft, dated 25 July 1923, and authorised by 'DER RAT DER STADT ZWICKAU', with two manuscript signatures below the titles 'Oberbürgermeister' and 'Stadtkassendirektor'. |

At centre, the heraldic arms of Zwickau — a crowned lion supporting a shield with civic insignia and flanking decorative scrollwork — form the principal vignette. To the left and right of the arms, a split anti-counterfeiting warning in Gothic script threatens imprisonment of no less than two years for forgery or circulation of falsified notes. A red serial number appears in the lower-left field. |
