| Obverse description | Brown Notgeld note executed in ornate Fraktur (blackletter) typography throughout, framed by an elaborate scrollwork and foliate border. The issuing legend 'Notgeldschein der Stadt Meerane' runs across the top, with the denomination 'Hunderttausend Mark' set in large bold Fraktur script at centre; the municipal coat of arms vignette occupies the central field. Validity text, the issue date 'Meerane, den 8. Aug. 1923', and facsimile signatures of the Bürgermeister and Stadtverordneten-Vorsteher appear in the lower portion. |
