| Obverse description | Green and brown Notgeld note with a decorative border of guilloche ornaments and repeated denomination numerals along the lateral margins. A central vignette shows a group of industrial workers in a landscape setting, with a small engraved building vignette and two official round seals — one for the Stadt Gelsenkirchen and one for the Landkreis Gelsenkirchen — flanking the centre. The denomination 'Hunderttausend Mark' is set in large Gothic blackletter script across the middle field, with the issue date of 21 July 1923, series letter 'A', and a handwritten serial number in the upper corners, together with two manuscript signatures below the seals. |
