| Beschrijving voorzijde | Typographically printed Notgeld in red on cream paper, with a light guilloche underprint in the note's central field. The upper portion carries the series designation and denomination numeral "100000" at right, followed by the issuing institution name in bold display type. The denomination in full — "Einhunderttausend Mark" — is set in large letterpress type between two horizontal rules, with the place and date of issue, two manuscript signatures, and a circular municipal stamp of Brunndöbra (Vogtland) below. A vertical validity clause runs along the left margin, and the cautionary legend "Nicht girieren!" appears at the foot. |

Brunndöbra is a small village in the Vogtland district of Saxony, and its Gemeindekasse — the municipal treasury — issued this 100,000 Mark note during the catastrophic hyperinflation of 1923, when local authorities across Germany were printing their own emergency currency simply to meet payroll. By the time denominations reached six figures, the Reichsmark was losing value faster than notes could be printed and distributed.
This is Notgeld in its terminal phase — not the decorative collectors' pieces of 1921, but functional desperation scrip with a lifespan measured in days.
