Obverse description The national coat of arms of Suriname occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield supported by two indigenous Amerindian figures in traditional headdress, each holding a spear. The dexter quarter of the shield displays a sailing ship, the sinister a palm tree, with further heraldic elements below including a star and horizontal stripes. The motto scroll beneath the supporters bears the legend PIETAS. The entire composition is framed by an ornate wreath of stylized laurel branches, with the country name SURINAME inscribed in large raised letters along the lower field. The motto JUSTITIA PIETAS FIDES appears in association with the arms.

Reverse description The reverse presents a bold, graphic Millennium commemorative design in which the word SURINAME is rendered in large, stylized Gothic-inspired lettering dominating the central field, superimposed over an intricately engraved background of concentric geometric patterns and a dotted matrix evoking a globe or world map. The denomination 100 000 GULDEN appears in prominent raised numerals and letters along the lower portion of the field. The legend MILLENNIUM arcs across the upper register, while the date range 2000 - 2001 is inscribed along the upper rim, framing the entire composition within a raised border.
